Individual therapy

Starting therapy can seem daunting if you have never tried it before. You may not know what to expect, fear that you will be judged or perhaps just unsure how it can help you. Individual therapy can help you understand yourself better. It can be useful in identifying maladaptive patterns that govern your life and choices, and give you some clarity in making decisions.

You may need guidance to work through your family of origin issues, help with being more assertive in your everyday interactions, or work through some self-esteem difficulties. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same situation repeatedly, or would like to break a pattern of behaviour. Maybe you are dealing with some current stressors, or are going through major life changes. You might just want to gain a deeper understanding of who you are. Counselling can offer you the space to air out your concerns in a safe and nurturing environment, free from judgement.
